Zy’Novia James

JR. Squad Leader

Zy’Novia James is one of the Junior Squad Leaders here at Bloom Upstate. Graduating from Boiling Springs High School, she plans to attend the University of South Carolina to major in biological sciences and pursue dentistry. She also attended the Spartanburg Early College High School program where she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Spartanburg Community College. Her ultimate goal is to own her own practice as a cosmetic dentist and provide affordable cosmetic services. She also would like to start a mentoring program that offers guidance and scholarships to other young black girls who are pursuing dentistry. In addition mentoring at Bloom Upstate, Zy’Novia also works at the Thomas E. Hannah YMCA where she works in the nursery and summer camp department.
