BloomUpstate’s mission is to mentor and support girls and their parents who reside in single parent households.. We make this mission tangible through the following four programs.
Mentorship Program
This program is designed to intentionally match youth with a caring and involved same sex mentor based on their specific needs. Allowing children to see beyond their single parent circumstances can positively affect their well-being. Learn more.
Tutoring
Fatherless girls are 9x more likely to drop out of school. An important part of helping these girls reach their full potential means helping ensure they are successful in school. Learn more.
Peer Groups
We offer two forms of groups that help give young girls the opportunity to express and resolve issues they are experiencing. It also allows them to create bonded relationships with their peers in a safe and fun environment. Learn more.
Family Services
We provide enrichment classes, workshops, counseling services and encouragement to single parents looking to create a better life for their children. We will also act as a bridge to health and human service agencies, by providing the essential resources to encourage growth for the whole family. Learn more.
