Andrea Johnson

Executive Director

Andrea Johnson is a Certified Fatherless Child Advocate whose unwavering empathy, loyalty, and dedication have earned her the reputation of a service-centered leader within her community. Growing up without a paternal figure, she faced an ever-pervading emptiness throughout her childhood and teenage years, and it wasn’t until later in life that she discovered her one true calling in life: to help children awaken to their God-given potential so they can finally step into their purpose, despite their fatherless circumstance.

As the Founder & Executive Director of a nonprofit organization called Bloom Upstate Inc., Andrea is on a lifelong mission to eradicate the generational factors that separate families by providing compassionate advocacy to fatherless children. Most of all, she strives to impart them with a voice of unshakable hope that ultimately heals the untold hardship they’ve endured growing up. She also serves as the Vice President of the Spartanburg Youth Enhancement Foundation and she is also a Certified Girls Circle Facilitator with The One Circle Foundation.

Andrea holds her B.S. degree in Social Work with a Psychology Minor from Limestone College and a Master’s degree in Human Services with a Family Services & Intervention Concentration.

Andrea is married to Rodney Johnson, and together, they are the proud parents of three children, Trevius, Phyllecia, and Jazmin. They are also grandparents to one grandchild, Kennedi Elle.
