Sabrina Blackwell is a Human Resource Specialist for a local manufacturing company in Spartanburg S.C. Being in Human Resources has afforded her the opportunity to touch lives that she may not have touched otherwise. When she is not glued to a computer screen, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, mentoring young ladies, volunteering within the community and trying super hard to learn the sport of basketball.
When asked the worst experience of her life, Sabrina used to say losing her Father due to suicide at the tender age of 8. She would often question her purpose and how she could be a light to someone else when she suffered from rejection, depression, and oppression growing up fatherless. However, the pain turned in to victory, joy, and hope when God revealed his purpose for her life; to allow her testimony to help others. That is when Sabrina truly began to live her life on purpose.
Sabrina currently resides in Inman S.C. with her husband, Derrick Blackwell and 2 of 3 boys (Jordan and Nikell). Eldest son Dominique resides in Florida. Sabrina is a mentor and Big Sister to a young lady as part of the Big Brother Big Sister of the Upstate program where she also serves on the board. Sabrina currently volunteers with several organizations within the community (Miracle Hill, Christmas in Action, Spartanburg Soup Kitchen and Hope Center for Children). Sabrina also has a passion to shine God’s light globally which has led to sponsorship of 2 children in Nicaragua to ensure they can get an education. Sabrina had an opportunity to participate in a week-long mission trip in 2016 to Nicaragua and will be returning in June of 2018.
